Kipaş Tekstil shall achieve a saving of 30% annually in terms of energy, thanks to Mimsan’s Cogeneration System.

Mimsan, Turkey’s leading brand in installation of Coal-Fired Cogeneration plants, shall achieve a saving of 30% from the energy costs of production facilities of Kipaş Holding, one of the leading brands in the textile sector, in Kahramanmaraş, thanks to the cogeneration energy plant that it established with the installed power of 6 MWe.
After establishing a coal-fired cogeneration plant with the capacity to produce a steam of 60 Bar 60t/h 480°C in Kahramanmaraş facilities of Kipaş Tekstil, commissioning / test operations are completed following design and production of the plant in a way to produce 6MWe of electricity per hour and 60 tons 8 barg process steam. In coal-fired cogeneration plants, total efficiency of which reaches to almost 80% compared to systems that produce electricity and thermal energy separately, investors achieve a significant amount of saving in terms of energy efficiency, investment costs and operating costs by the cogeneration system, which is listed at the top of the list of modern energy production technologies in terms of energy efficiency. In the Project, it is ensured that process steam and electricity are produced jointly by MİMSAN’s high technology circulating fluidized-bed technology.
